- Josh will present “The Standard of Care of Engineering, Taller, Longer, and Lighter” in London, UK during the 2011 IABSE Symposium to be held September 20-23. His presentation will begin at 5:15pm in the Arup Room on Tuesday, September 20th.
- Josh was a docent for the AIA sponsored Home Tours 2011, East Bay Living on August14. Go to www.aiaeb.org/hometours.htm for more information on the tours.
- Josh presented “Calculations, Ethics and Standard of Care” on June 9th as part of Evening 1 of the two-night SEAONC 2011 Summer Seminar held at the PG&E Auditorium, 245 Market St, San Francisco.

Tom Meece, Meece Engineering - Josh went to Las Vegas, Nevada where he took part in a technical panel session entitled “Legal and Business Challenges to the Dissemination of Failure Information” during the Structures 2011 Congress, April 14-16 at the Green Valley Ranch Resort.
- Josh lectured at UC Berkeley Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering on April 5, 2011, for the Engineering and Project Management Graduate Research Seminar, CE 298 (O’Brien Hall, Room 212, 5pm – 6pm. His discussion addressed engineering ethics and the standard of care.

“Engineering and project management practitioners present case studies and industry trends. Students and faculty discuss ongoing research in engineering and project management.” - Josh presented “Conservatism in Engineering – What Is It, Who Needs It, Who Pays For It?” at the Splinter Group Meeting that was held on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Truitt & White Conference Room, 1817 2nd Street, Berkeley, CA.
- Josh presented a talk on Expert Testimony Concerning the Standard of Care, at the American Society of Home Inspectors‘ July 8, 2010 meeting in Berkeley, California.
- Josh presented “Engineering Ethics and Failures of Infrastructure Facilities” in Venice, Italy during the 2010 IABSE Symposium on September 22-24.
